Bee Colony removed unharmed from roof
This week we removed this large Bee Colony from under a flat Roof in Wincanton, Somerset. The builders renovating the roof had discovered the Colony and were keen for it to be removed without being destroyed. Wherever possible we will try to remove Colonies intact so that they can continue their role in nature as important pollinators. These bees were well established and had produced a good store of honey. We were able to pack some of this into boxes that the builders took home, one of the perks of the job in this case.
These bees were successfully re-housed with a Beekeeper to continue their work and produce lots more honey!
